III — The Principal

Fifteen Years Inside Enterprise Marketing Technology.

Veil Consulting is operated by Adam Valine. Engagements are not subcontracted. The work you commission is the work you receive.

Fifteen years inside one specific corner of software: workflow, automation, and integration systems for large institutions.

Nine years at Franklin Templeton on Aprimo Marketing Operations and the plumbing around it (Dell Boomi, Aprimo Connect, custom). Six years at Wells Fargo as VP of Marketing Technology. Currently AI Strategy Lead at Solutions Plus Consulting — the same instincts, pointed at a new layer.

What the corporate work taught me, more than any specific platform, is what makes these systems good and what makes them frustrating to live with. Vendor workflow engines flexible enough to model your real process but opaque enough that nobody can debug them at 11pm. Integration tools that handle the happy path beautifully and lose your data the first time a partner changes a field name. Reporting layers that are technically correct and operationally useless.

I build for the operator who has to read the logs at 2am, because that operator is usually me.

A Practice, Not a Platform.

    Diagnose.

    Every engagement begins with a written assessment — your stack, your data, your team's operating reality — produced before any recommendations are made. Typically two to three weeks. Delivered as a structured report you can read in a single sitting and circulate to your leadership.

  2. 02

    Design.

    From the diagnosis, we produce a target architecture — workflows, integrations, attribution model, reporting layer — at the level of detail your engineering team needs to act. The design is the deliverable. The implementation may be ours, yours, or split.

  3. 03

    Deploy & Document.

    When we implement, we document. When you implement, we review. Either way, the system that ships is the system that is written down — so the next team to inherit it can read the logs at 2am and understand what's actually happening.
